Roswell went to the vet yesterday to have her teeth cleaned and two teeth removed (her two top front canines). I was worried about her all day afraid something might happen to her. We picked her up around 7:00PM—Mom drove and paid for the vet bill as I am unemployed—and took her home. She was loopy when I first saw her and as I was talking to her she seemed somewhat incoherent and confused. We got her back to the house and I set her down on her favorite sleeping pad. She chilled for a while and then tried walking around; She was definitely NOT steady on her feet.
She got a little wet food which was puked up within ten minutes. She puked some more a little while later and then settled in for a snooze right next to the space heater in the sun-room on the back of the house. Every so often she would come out to the living room and I would pet her and then she would go lie down again. I gave her some more wet food which she kept down and then she wanted to go to bed for the night. At first I couldn’t figure out why she kept “walking me” to my room but then I realized she wanted to go to sleep for the night. So, I grabbed a book and got into bed and gave her lots of lovies and scratchies until she fell asleep.

So far this morning she has had her medicine—scratching me and my Mom in the process—and some more wet food. She seems still to be a bit wobbly but otherwise her mobility is OK if a tad slow. She’s probably going to sleep more than usual today. But it is nice and sunny in the sun-room and with the space heater turned up to “Hi” she should be in kitty heaven. I’ll take some pictures later so you can see her without her two front teeth.
