So, I was back in the Albany area yesterday to see my niece Khrystin perform in the local color guard competition. She is on her school’s junior team (Mohonasen School District) that just does demonstrations—Although her high school’s color guard team put on a kick-ass performance based on “women on the home-front in WWII”—but she should be on the competitive JV team next year when she enters ninth grade. Below is the video of her team’s demonstration performance—They did a number set to Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun”. She is in the second row, second from the left (with the pink flag). She did really good except for one minor mistake where she dipped her flag too low during one movement. If she keeps practicing she will have no problem making the competitive team next year.
So, GO Khrystin!
done
