I Go Walking, After Midnight

Well, not quite after midnight, but close enough.

I went for a nice run this afternoon (~4.5 miles), came home and ate dinner, took a shower, ran to the Apple Store to check out the MacBook Pro models*, came back and dinked around on the web, and then went for a walk. This was the first night of the Fall season that I got to wear a warm hat. It wasn’t that cold, maybe in the low 50s, but I received a flu shot earlier in the day and have felt a bit run-down anyway. It was nice walking under a full moon. There was nary a cloud in the sky and a mild but persistent breeze. It helped that I was wearing my new Carhartt shirt-jac I got with my birthday money. It’s the usual heavy weight cotton fabric on the exterior with a cotton flannel plaid interior. It is quite comfy and warm enough for these cool Fall nights. Yippee!

*I am waiting to make a purchase until Apple comes out with a low-end 15″ MBP with a matte screen. (They call it the anti-glare option but it used to be standard. And while the glossy screens do look nice—the images are much sharper and have more “pop” to them—I think they would be hard to look at for extended periods of time.) So, none of my money for you, Apple, until you provide a matte screen option on ALL your laptops in the MacBook Pro product line.
