Manic Muzak/Music

So, I was at Home Depot tonight and I heard Manic Street Preachers playing on the in-house music system. Don’t know if it was Muzak, some satellite channel, or the evening manager’s personal iPod. But it was odd. I’m in the hardware aisle looking for flat washers and I hear the opening bars to . . . Damn, now I can’t remember what song was playing. Browsing through my iTunes play-list makes me think it was “Motorcycle Emptiness” or “You Stole The Sun From My Heart”. Anyway, I stopped in the middle of the cross-aisle in the story and looked up at the ceiling just to wonder where the heck the music was coming from and, more important, why the heck it sounded so familiar. It took me half the song to figure out the artist. Suffice to say I was not expecting to hear Manic Street Preachers playing over the speakers at Home Depot. That is all.
