Earth From Above: A photo site comprised mostly of aerial images of the earth. Currently the site has aerial images for 101 countries around the world. Many of the images are available for download as desktop wallpaper.
PostSecret: One of the most poignant and thought-provoking sites on the web. It gets updated once a week on Sunday. I saw the first public “show” of the postcards in Washington, DC three years ago and the number and variety of postcards was breath-taking; There was well over 2000 of them on display at one time. Here is a review of the Georgetown show from the Washington Post and another from the Georgetown Voice paper.
(And no, I have not posted any secrets to the site.)
Pixdaus: A simple photo browsing site but with over 4500 6500 pages of images you can discover that almost anything imaginable has been captured in a photo. I like to use the random feature and let myself be surprised by what pages it brings up. I love the travel photos; It’s like taking someone else’s vacation with them.
