XKCD: One of the funniest, smartest, web trendy comics out there.
Here are a few of my favorites.
National Language
Sandwich
Nihilism
Hallucinations
Ballmer Peak
Advanced Technology
Impostor
Joy of Tech: They take an irreverent look at technology and how it is used today with a heavy focus on products from Apple.
Here are a few of my favorites.
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal: They focus a lot on relationships, parent-child interactions, and courtroom scenes. It is not laugh-out-loud funny but more of a wry, sly kind of funny. But the punch-lines are always something you wouldn’t expect. And when you do come across a LOL strip, you wind up with food or drink all over your keyboard and screen and a stomach-ache from laughing so hard.
Here are a few of my favorites.
Bam! I’m Psychic!
Accommodating Atheists
Love Poems
Four-Hundred Pound Corpse
Immortality Discovered
Getting Organized (Warning: crude and in poor taste)
Pit of Despair
Honesty in Relationships
Before Slides
Surviving The World: A quizzical look at life in the 21st century through the eyes of a young scientist and his whiteboard.
Here are a few of my favorites.
Homestar Runner: Funny as hell but I can’t really explain it. You’ve just got to check out the site, especially the Strong Bad e-mails.
The Perry Bible Fellowship: Odd, but insightful at times, with bright, richly detailed drawings. (currently on hiatus)
Here are a few of my favorites.
Yarteries
Colonel Sweeto
Bacon Egg
Wally and Osborne: A great buddy comic set in Antarctica. It features a polar bear and a penguin getting into all sorts of well-meaning mischief. (currently on hiatus)
copper: another buddy comic set in the minds of the two main characters. Think of Calvin & Hobbes with an odder assortment of strange characters. (currently on hiatus)
Making Fiends: Words fail to describe the creative genius underlying this comic. It has excellent stories with simple but boldly drawn characters. Sadly, the creator has stopped her monthly installments to spend time turning it into a cartoon for Nicktoons. I’ll reserve judgment on the cartoons until I have seen some.
Here are a few of my favorites.
Giant Kitty
The Russian episode
Wonderful Wintry Day (my favorite Fiend episode . . . and it’s a sing-along)
30-Second Bunnies Theatre: You’ve all probably seen this site. It hosts re-enactments of famous movies done by bunnies, animated bunnies. And the whole re-enactment is done is approximately 30 seconds. This site is tops for great laughs at movies you know and love.
