So, this is my first blog. I am still trying to decide what all to put up here. Probably the usual blog stuff which means this will be about me and my friends and family and why I am so great and why my life is so great. HA! (That’s a little commentary for you on the nature of personal blogs. I am not really that self-absorbed.)
As for my personal story, I am a 38-year-old unemployed IT professional from New York City living with my Mom in Syracuse, NY while I help my Mom through some health problems and finish up my drawn-out Masters degree program. I’ve been working on the Masters degree part-time for over seven years. I should be done with the thesis* in December 2008 and hope to be back to work in the City in late January or early February of 2009. I am a 39-year-old unemployed IT professional from Washington, DC (14 years) and New York City (1.5 years) living in Madison, WI. I did, in fact, finish the thesis* in December 2008 but decided to not return to New York City to live. I have been living in Madison since 12 October 2009 and LOVE IT.
*Saint Margery: The Making of a Medieval Magdalen is about Margery Kempe, a late 14th-century English religious mystic and pilgrim and her manifestation as a medieval version of Mary Magdalen.
